No one may be more surprised about their suddenly higher profile than the indie-rocking Frampton sisters Meg and Dia. The duo, who have a main-stage slot at Vans Warped tour on Saturday in the Nassau Coliseum parking lot, have quickly graduated to Warner Bros. Records and an MTV staple with their new single "Roses." Meg and Dia talked to Newsday's Glenn Gamboa after a tour stop in San Antonio.

Are you surprised with how well "Roses" is doing?

Meg: I never thought it would be one of the singles. We had gone out to get Mexican food and we came back and Dia had gotten it all in a few takes. Lyrically, I'm really proud of it. It's a song about how morals have changed to make it easier to do what you want. We're kind of comparing it to how it used to be and how there's this trend of morality. I'm really excited to be able to push it. That's the song people are bobbing their heads to because the intro's really dancey. And it's doing really, really well on YouTube.

Well, the video really does stand out.

Dia: I'm so proud of it. I talked to the director every day. We basically wrote the treatment together. I had the idea of the little picture vignettes in the video. It turned out really cool. It's so great to see our own little story line in it. It's about how the world is today and we wanted to portray that visually, like with the dollar on the hook. The fishing one was the one that turned out exactly as I wanted. Kids look up to us so much when they try to figure out what's important. A lot of what the song is about is showing how funny people are when they're trying to be cool. We're trying to explain how silly it is.
